Dr. Steven Pribanich is a family medical doctor in Crossville, Tennessee and is a member of the active medical staff at Cumberland Medical Center, a Covenant Health partner. He also provides inpatient care at CMC with the Team-Health Hospitalist Program. He received his medical degree from Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. Dr. Pribanich completed his residencies in Family Practice and Sports Medicine at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He has been in practice for 28 years.

Recently named Preceptor of the Year, Dr. Steven Pribanich, MD, has been working with medical students for more than a decade. Pribanich strives to give LMU-DCOM students on family medicine rotations a solid, well-rounded experience by exposing them to four pillars of additional learning beyond the necessary clinical skills, including: hands-on electronic medical records exposure, billing with ICD-10 and E & M, e-scribing prescriptions and the medical-legal aspects of a solo medical practice.

Dr. Pribanich is the owner of Plateau Medical Specialist, PLLC. He also leases suites at this location to specialists (view here).

In addition to being a superlative physician, Dr. Pribanich is an energetic, fun-loving guy who enjoys water skiing, snow skiing, surfing, scuba swimming and diving. He holds a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do Martial Arts. His hobbies include old car restoration, car shows and car clubs, along with riding motorcycles and boating. Re Payton, Nurse

Re has worked in patient care for 18 years. She is a high school and college graduate from Jacksonville, FL. She enjoys patient care and loves helping people. Re is excited to work with Dr. Pribanich because she sees the compassion and concern he shows to each and every patient.





Leslie, Receptionist

Leslie is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She earned her Medical Assistant Diploma from Median School of Allied Health Carrers, and successfully completed the requirements for certification through National Healthcareer Association as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. She has always been dedicated to her career, and is sincerely passionate about patient advocacy. It was in August of 2020 that Leslie felt a call from God, and moved to Tennessee. She feels His fingerprints continue to be quite visible in her story by ultimately leading her to Plateau Medical. She immediately felt care and compassion from Dr. Pribanich and his amazing staff towards herself and to each and every patient-the way healthcare SHOULD be. She is confident that God has gifted her with a "forever work family", and she is looking forward to many wonderful years to come with this incredible team!!
